Romantic Holiday Outing #1: Sacramento Philharmonic and Opera Presents A Baroque Christmas 

On December 3rd, the Sacramento Philharmonic and Opera are presenting a Baroque Christmas at the SAFE Credit Union Performing Arts Center. Tickets run $16—$73 per person and can be purchased through SCCBO website. The program includes Bach and Corelli concertos and stars Margaret Batjier as the conductor. Broadening your sense of the world through art can give you and your partner more to talk about. This concert is the perfect way to experience live music that will put you in a holiday mood. 

Romantic Holiday Outing #2: Illumination Holiday Festival 

The Illumination Holiday Festival at the Grove is going into its 2nd annual year and aims to become its own tradition in the Sacramento community. The festival is a multicultural event with an international holiday marketplace and yummy snacks from around the world. It also includes a Holiday of Lights parade with all sorts of illuminated  If you want to try new foods and search for unique gifts while learning more about the myriad of cultures present in Sacramento, this is the perfect event for you! You can even get a loved-up photo in front of the gigantic ribbon tree. The event takes place on December 4th. The event is free to attend. 

Romantic Holiday Outing #3: Crocker Art Museum 

Need more fun holidays for couples ideas? Try the Crocker Art Museum in Sacramento. New events are consistently being added to their Events Calendar with current December, 2021 displays including impressionism exhibits featuring the work of Monet and Matisse. This museum is free to members and $15 for adults. A unique architecture tour is also available and the museum is world-renowned for its international ceramics collection. No need to travel abroad to experience international art!

Romantic Holiday Outing #4: Holiday in the Park

At Arden Park, the 8th annual Holiday in the Park exhibit will be taking place. This is the perfect place to bring children if you want them to say hello to Santa, but you can also enjoy the park as a romantic couple’s Christmas event. A 17-foot Christmas tree will be lit and local music will be playing. There will be hot chocolate, crafts, and the event is free to everyone. Romantic Holiday Outing #5: The Polar Express Train Ride

The California State Railroad Museum is an event that focuses on the Polar Express film with Polar Express characters, onboard hot chocolate chefs, and a “ride” to the North Pole. This is one of the pricier holiday couple events on our list with the first class at $65 per person and the coach class at $45 per person. Evenings raise the price to $70 and $50 respectively. This event takes place on Dec 2, Dec 8, and Dec 9, 2021. Tickets can be purchased through the California State Railroad Museum
